The number of statistics you can show with Rainmeter is ridiculous. Rainmeter generally would sit "above" the wallpaper. As far as I can tell, that's it for system tie ins. There are no plugins that I have seen for any system information, though it can animate based on the sound output. The level of customization for the animations is phenomenal and done in real time. It retains the functional layer of icons and other dessktop interactions above it. I'm not a reviewer, but I've included my comparison below.Īs someone who has used both now, I love the ability to animate my desktop wallpaper that WE gives me. If you're not capable of this type of thinking, it's not helpful to post saying it's not possible. Try listing the pros and cons of each, and where the two meet (if anywhere).
